This week we will be finishing our process drama about Operation Pied Piper. We will hear about the beginning of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and explore its characters and setting. We will learn about good staging and learn about how to evaluate a scene.

We will learn about the curriculum, grading and rules. We will play some theatre games. We will learn about tableaus and stage pictures. We will begin a process drama about Operation Pied Piper where children were moved from London into the countryside during WWII to escape the Blitz.
This week we are finishing up The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. We worked on the great battle and visual storytelling.
This week in 6th grade we will learn more about how to create a character. We will experiment with how a costume can influence character choices. We also will learn some storytelling techniques.
This week we will work on physical and vocal characterization. We will learn about dramatic tension in a scene. We will do a mini- design project as we think about the different characters that exit in the world of our play. Some classes will begin exploring how costume can help inform choices about characterization.
