This week in 6th grade drama we will be working on physical and vocal characterization. We will explore the death of Aslan and its aftermath. We will create the character's in the witch's army thorugh movement and dialogue. We will create monologues for the characters in the witch's statue courtyard.

This week we will learn about passing focus and we will improvise the scene where the children receive gifts and Edmund sees the Queen's power. We will meet Aslan and work on physical and vocal characterization.
This week in 6th grade drama we will be working on our flashback scenes we started last week . We will create a second original scene examining the origins of the stone table in Narnia. We will continue to work on good dramatic structure. At the end of the week we will explore the characters who have been turned to stone and their backstories. We will continue to work on characterization.
In 6th grade drama we will continue working on The Lion the Witch, and the Wardrobe. We will finish the first scene and explore subtext in the next scene. We will demonstrate how a character might say one thing and be thinking something else. We will create an original flashback scene with in the third scene from the story. We will work on having exposition, conflict and resolutions.
This week in 6th grade drama we will be finishing our process drama on the evacuation of the children from London during the Blitz. We will finish and present small group scenes about life in the village after the characters were evacuated. We will examine the perspectives of the community about the children from London. We will go 50 years into the future to see how the events affected the characters. Then we will look at the connection between. our process drama and the new unit where we will dramatize The Lion , the Witch and the Wardrobe. We will examine the characters and setting and begin the first scene.
This week we will be working on a process drama. We will be in London in 1939. We will be students who are experiencing the Blitz, The students will take their characters through the family trying to decide if the child should be evacuated, through the train ride, and arrival in the village. We will be working in whole class scenes and small group scenes. Our goal is to build believable characters.
Welcome to drama. This is our first week of drama. We will start by learning about the curriculum and about the stage. We will play some collaboration games. Then we will work on the story The Legacy of the Moor's Treasure. We will do a narrative pantomime and then collaborate together to create an original scene that tells what happened next to the Moor. We will talk about how to collaborate effectively.
This week in 6th grade drama we are finishing up our rotation. We are creating an original scene about how something came to be in Narnia. Then we are taking the district 65 drama assessment.
This week in 6th grade, drama we will finish our monologues and work on the Great battle for Narnia. We will create stage combat for the hand to hand ( or really the paw to claw ) combat. Then we will learn how a stage combat choreographer puts it all together into a whole battle scene . We will create an original scene about how the four children are crowned kings and queens.
This week we will finish Meeting Aslan We are working on physical and vocal characterization. We will also explore the idea of dramatic tension. During the scene with Aslan's death we will continue working on these two concepts. In the scene Aslan returns the students will create monologues for their characters.
