In 7th grade, we will continue to work on To Kill A Mockingbird. We will create some original scenes around characters from our novel. We will explore the idea of subtext and we will work on creating multiple perspectives for a scene using first person narration.
This week in 7th grade drama we will play the second scene from To Kill a Mockingbird. We will be adding our own creative ideas to the scene and develop a character autobiography. We will work on understanding how an actor interprets a character and make connections to our own experiences. We will learn about some theatre conventions.
This week we finished work our vocal choral speaking. We performed a poem and filmed it. We will watch our film and evaluate it. We will start work on dramatizing the novel To Kill A Mockingbird. We will start with the characters and setting and will explore the context of the story to begin work on the first scene.
